The Everton trio of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina and Tom Davies will miss the Premier League clash with hosts Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park later this week as the Toffees try to build on their comeback win over Arsenal in their last league outing.
Calvert-Lewin should have recovered from the thigh issue if not for the setback suffered in his quest to return to full fitness. Everton manager Rafael Benitez is certain that Calvert-Lewin is on course to finally make his return from injury via his latest press conference.
Ex-Sheffield United attacker Calvert-Lewin will definitely miss the away game against South Londoners Palace. Colombian central defender Mina will also miss the league clash with the Eagles after he sustained a calf injuryjust half an hour into his return from injury during the Arsenal game. Midfielder Tom Davies will miss the Palace game as well as he continues to recuperate from a knee injury. Everton boss Benitez said Davies will likely return to training next week.
Everton boss Benitez also confirmed that French left-back Lucas Digne will return to the squad for the Palace game after missing the Arsenal due to an internal disciplinary matter. Venezuelan striker Salomon Rondon missed the Arsenal game due to a thigh issue, but he has returned to training just in time for the Palace. In addition to Digne and Rondon, Allan will play against Palace despite not being able to train properly.
Hosts Palace are on a three-match losing run ahead of the Everton and they would be keen to stop the run of defeats.
