Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti reveals what his star player James Rodriguez told him, adding that he doesn’t trust him. James is fighting to be part of the Everton squad to face Manchester United tomorrow.
A major reason behind Everton’s great start was James Rodriguez, who was outstanding in the opening few weeks. Ancelotti missed the star player in the defeat by Newcastle United last weekend through injury. Still, Ancelotti has now claimed that Rodriguez himself has assured and told him that he is 100 percent fit, even if he doesn’t trust his player.
Ancelotti expressed his thoughts to the media, saying it will be a crucial game for them. The gaffer says even though James says he is fit for the game, he still has doubts. The former Napoli coach says even if the former Real Madrid player is at 75 percent strength, he could really be the difference between zero and three points against the Red Devils. Rodriguez started the campaign well, scoring three time and assisting another three.
In the meantime, the team will welcome James Rodriguez back into the matchday squad after he recovered from the injury which kept him out of the last league match. Also, Ancelotti has confirmed that Jordan Pickford will return to action.
Everton lost away to Southampton and Newcastle in the last two games; thus, Ancelotti will want to win the clash before the international break.
