Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in line to make his first start for the Toffees since his return from the hamstring injury that made him miss two Premier League games this month. The Everton player sustained the hamstring injury during the FA Cup fifth round clash with North London giants Tottenham Hotspur at home. He was one of the goalscorers as Everton beat Spurs 5-4 at the end of extra time to progress into the quarterfinals. Everton came out on the right side of the nine-goal thriller at home to Jose Mourinho’s men. Everton will now face in-form Manchester City next month in the FA Cup quarterfinals at home to determine who will go through to the semis. Manchester City are a difficult opponent at the moment as they have won 19 games on the bounce in all competitions. Manchester City have won their last 13 games in the Premier League.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin returned to the Everton squad for the Merseyside Derby clash at Liverpool last weekend. He came off the bench to win the penalty that sealed a 2-0 win over Liverpool to give his team the first win at Anfield for over 22 years. He is in line to make a first start when Everton host Southampton on Monday night in their next league game.
