Premier League club Everton FC have announced a sponsorship deal with SportPesa. The new deal is the most lucrative in the history of the club. The deal is poised to last for five years, starting from June 1. The African betting company and gaming brand name would feature on the front of Everton jerseys, based on details of the deal.
The club released a statement saying SportPesa invested in a new European headquarters that would generate jobs for the city of Liverpool. The office is an avenue to engage with supporters through “fan activities.”
“We’re pleased to have secured the biggest commercial partnership deal in the club’s history with an ambitious and growing global company.
“From the outset we have been impressed by SportPesa and the company’s plans for the future. Over the coming months and years we will be working closely to realise our ambitions together,” the club’s chief executive Robert Elstone said.
SportPesa rep Ivo Bozukov says the deal is a landmark one for the company. He described the Toffees as a “world-renowned sporting institution and a club of proud tradition and rich history.” With tickets for Everton amongst the most sought after on www.1st4footballtickets.com, it’s no wonder brands are clamouring and outbidding each-other to be associated with them.
“We are thrilled to have secured an alignment with Everton, a club weaved prominently throughout the tapestry of world football,” he added.
Everton are set to appear on the continental stage next season. With manager Ronaldo Koeman, the club has been growing and with regular investments, the ambitions of the club are not a hard guess.
