Everton attacker Richarlison was one of the goalscorers for defending champions Brazil thrashed Peru 4-0 to book their place in the quarterfinals with two games to play in Group B at the ongoing Copa America tournament on home soil. The Everton player came off the bench to score and continue his good record for the Selecao in front of goal.
Richarlison started the first group game against Venezuela on Sunday but didn’t find the back of the net as Brazil ran out 3-0 winners courtesy goals fromthe Paris Saint Germain (PSG) duo of Marquinhos and Neymar. Gabriel Barbosa added a late goal to make it a comprehensive victory over the Venezuelans in what was the opening game of the Copa America tournament this summer. Everton attacker Richarlison played 65 minutes before being replaced by Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus. Marquinhos and Neymar (penalty) had scored by the time he left the game. (more…)
